Innovation in sustainability

In the field of sustainability many activities have been initiated and developed. One of these is Lindt & Sprüngli’s cocoa traceability programme, the Ghana Traceable Project, which shall be extended in the near future to South American and the Caribbean.

Sustainable practices in raw material production and sourcing are also considered relevant. The knowledge of origin and the implied production processes for these raw materials are consequently assessed. Lindt & Sprüngli also actively supports projects and organisations involved in raw material production, e.g. the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) or the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).

Lindt & Sprüngli is constantly monitoring its production processes and developments in the packaging industry to determine how it can further reduce emissions along the entire production chain and achieve a higher percentage of biodegradable and recyclable materials.
