

VIVA ITALIA! Literally, tiramisù means “pull me up”, a tribute to the effect of the coffee and alcohol-soaked cake that provides the structure for this dessert. This Tiramisù introduces chocolate to the traditional recipe.


1 cup (125 ml) strong coffee |

2 tablespoons (30 ml) marsala, coffee liqueur or rum |

3 egg yolks |

1/3 cup (65 g) sugar |

8 oz (226 g) mascarpone |

1 tablespoon (15 ml) marsala, coffee liqueur or rum |

1 cup (125 ml) heavy cream |
